Our current partners include:
ARK Academies
From its inception in 2014, Shadowfax Racing has been working with ARK Academies in socially deprived parts of London to select trainees who will benefit the most from the programme and who would not otherwise get the opportunity to sail. We have been working alongside teachers, targeting Sixth Form students who qualify for the governments ‘Pupil Premium’ criteria. In Spring 2017, we selected students from Ark Putney Academy, Evelyn Grace Academy.

UK Sailing Association – Go Sail
In Autumn 2017, we piloted working with the UK Sailing Association (UKSA) and specifically targeting trainees on the ‘Go sail’ programme which was commissioned by Ben Ainslie’s 1851 Sailing Trust with the goal of getting 2000 young people form the deprived areas of the south coast to trial sailing. Of those 2000, the aim is to enable 14% of these trainees to go onto do more sailing. Shadowfax Racing is providing a long-term sustainable exit route for the UKSA Go Sail programme to enable trainees to continue sailing and specifically learn how to race.
The first programme was one of our most successful yet and we are developing closer ties with UKSA to run programmes in 2018 and beyond.
